Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has said that Joe Hart put in an "important" performance as they beat Borussia Monchengladbach in the Champions League on Wednesday evening.
The England goalkeeper made a string of saves to keep City in the match, before Sergio Aguero's late penalty gave the Premier League side a 2-1 win at Borussia-Park.
Hart saved a penalty from Raffael in the first half, as well as denying the Brazilian striker and his Gladbach teammates on several occasions.
"Joe made three very important saves," Pellegrini told Sky Sports News.
"He saved a penalty and after that also made brilliant saves. The performance of Joe was very important for us."
Hart has conceded that City "didn't play well" against the Bundesliga outfit.
