Manchester City centre-back Ruben Dias has taken part in training ahead of the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie against Atletico Madrid on Wednesday.
The 24-year-old had been ruled out since March 1 with a hamstring injury, and he has subsequently missed the last seven games across all competitions.
Pep Guardiola revealed to the press on April 1 ahead of the first leg last week that Dias would be assessed between the next 10 days and two weeks before he could be considered for first-team selection.
Ten days have since passed and City supporters have now been provided with a positive update ahead of their crucial European clash in midweek, as the Citizens have posted two images on Twitter of the Portugal international training at the Etihad Campus.
It remains to be seen whether Dias will be fit to start on Wednesday, but the defender could travel with the rest of the first-team squad to Madrid.
John Stones and Aymeric Laporte are the two most likely candidates to start at centre-back against Diego Simeone's side, while Nathan Ake – who began at left-back in the first leg – is also an option. body check tags ::
