Relive Sports Mole's live text coverage of the 138th FA Cup final, as Manchester City cruised to a 6-0 victory over Watford at Wembley Stadium.

Manchester City beat Watford 6-0 in the 2019 FA Cup final, with Raheem Sterling helping himself to a hat-trick, as they became the first English side to win a domestic treble.

After Ederson pulled off a good early save to keep out Roberto Pereyra, strikes from David Silva and Sterling put City two goals in front before half time.

Four more goals followed in the second half, two of them via Sterling to become the fourth player to net a treble in the showpiece fixture, while substitute Kevin De Bruyne and Gabriel Jesus were also on target.

Relive how the 90 minutes of action unfolded with Sports Mole's live text coverage below.

Hello and welcome to Sports Mole's live text coverage of the 138th FA Cup final as Manchester City take on Watford at Wembley Stadium.

City are aiming to become the first English side ever to win a clean sweep of all three domestic trophies on offer, having already lifted the EFL Cup and Premier League.

The Hornets finished 48 points below their opponents in the league, but this will still go down as a famous campaign for Javi Gracia's men - even more so if they spring an almighty upset to lift the cup for the first time in their history.

We will have all the bases covered over the next three hours or so, and where better place to start than by checking out some confirmed team news!

MAN CITY TEAM NEWS!

STARTING XI: Ederson; Walker, Kompany, Laporte, Zinchenko; Bernardo, Gundogan, D.Silva; Mahrez, Jesus, Sterling

SUBS: Muric, Danilo, Stones, Aguero, De Bruyne, Sane, Otamendi

Pep Guardiola is often accused of overthinking things when it comes to his team selection for big matches - look no further than the recent Champions League clash with Tottenham Hotspur - and he has made a surprise call today by selecting Gabriel Jesus over Sergio Aguero up top.

Riyad Mahrez is preferred to Leroy Sane in the frontline, meanwhile, meaning that Bernardo Silva will be deployed in a deeper midfield position, alongside makeshift holding midfielder Ilkay Gundogan and club legend David Silva.

Kevin De Bruyne and Fernandinho were both fitness doubts for today's game and both players miss out on selection at Wembley.

Fernandinho has not been used since injuring his knee on April 24 and is not in the squad at all today, while De Bruyne - used for the final 10 minutes at Brighton & Hove Albion last weekend - is only deemed fit enough for a place on the bench.

Two big blows, of course, but City have coped well without both men in recent weeks - even longer in the case of De Bruyne, in what has been a frustrating campaign.

Jesus for top-scorer Aguero is the only chance made by Guardiola from the 4-1 win at Brighton six days ago, meaning that Vincent Kompany is once again selected in the heart of defence alongside Aymeric Laporte, who has been used more than any other City player this term.

There is no suggestion that this will be anything other than the usual 4-3-3 from Guardiola, though he did set up slightly differently prior to conceding at the Amex Stadium last week. For what it is worth, City have scored 163 in all competitions this term - a staggering amount of goals.

WATFORD TEAM NEWS!

STARTING XI: Gomes; Femenia, Cathcart, Mariappa, Holebas; Deulofeu, Capoue, Doucoure, Hughes, Pereyra; Deeney

SUBS: Foster, Janmaat, Cleverley, Success, Masina, Gray, Kabasele

Watford boss Gracia makes two changes from his side's most recent outing - a 4-1 win against Fulham on the final day of the Premier League season - as Adrian Mariappa starts ahead of Christian Kabasele in defence and Heurelho Gomes continues his run in goal, taking over from the benched Ben Foster.

Craig Cathcart and Kiko Femenia retain their places in the backline, while Jose Holebas is also selected after the red card he received against Fulham for a last-man challenge was overturned in midweek.

The biggest selection decision for Gracia to make today regarded who would get the nod up top, with Gerard Deulofeu - the hero in the last round - battling with Andre Gray for a spot alongside skipper Troy Deeney.

Deulofeu's reward for his two-goal showing from the bench against Wolverhampton Wanderers is a starting spot this time around, and he could well be the man to watch from the Hornets' perspective. The last thing Kompany will want is the Barcelona academy product charging at him.

We know all about Watford's unorthodox formation by now - effectively going with a 4-2-2-2 - and they have given many a side a run for their money this term.

Deeney will look to rough up City's back four and Deulofeu has the ability to get in behind and create some magic out of nowhere - just ask Wolves supporters! Slightly deeper, meanwhile, Roberto Pereyra and Will Hughes will be tasked with creating chances.

Kyle Walker and Ederson are making their 100th appearances for Manchester City in all competitions. The big team news is that Guardiola has left out Aguero and gone with Jesus through the middle.

The Brazilian striker has been directly involved in five goals in his five FA Cup appearances this season, scoring three and assisting two.

Man City are aiming to make history today as, since the introduction of the EFL Cup in 1960, no English side has ever managed to win a clean sweep of major honours on offer in a single season.

Having already defeated Chelsea in a dramatic EFL Cup final clash here in February, as well as finishing a point clear of Liverpool in a remarkable Premier League title race, there is just one more hurdle left for Guardiola's men to leap over.

There has been plenty of talk as to whether this City side are the greatest ever in the English game. It is still a little too early to answer that question, but they can certainly strengthen their case today if they achieve what no other team could by winning the top flight, EFL Cup and the FA Cup.

As well as potentially winning the treble this term, the Citizens also recorded a record-breaking centurion campaign last time out. Yet it was arguably their ability to hold off Liverpool this season – officially the best runners-up in English top-flight history – that was the greater of the two achievements.

The pressure has been on Guardiola's men heading into every match for a good few months now, and they have more than dealt with it. City finished their league campaign with 14 wins in a row – and 18 wins out of 19 since the tail end of 2018 – to finish a point above Liverpool.

It has not quite been the perfect season, though, as City once again fell short in the Champions League, losing 4-4 on away goals to domestic rivals Tottenham Hotspur in a quarter-final clash that will live long in the memory. Ending their European hoodoo can wait for another year - today is all about maintaining their dominance of the English game.

Including the Community Shield, which Guardiola is always quick to point out is an actual trophy, then it could be a quadruple of sorts for the Catalan's side today. Guardiola will not be taking anything for granted, however, as his side were knocked out of this competition by Wigan Athletic in the fifth round last season.

That was an almighty shock, and it was not the first time they have lost to the Latics in the FA Cup in recent times, either, as they also lost the 2013 final here - a defeat that was extremely tough for City's supporters to take.

Man City have defeated three lower-league sides and two Premier League opponents to make it this far. After crushing Rotherham United 7-0 and Burnley 5-0 in rounds three and four respectively, the Citizens were made to work a little harder to see off Newport County in round five.

The 4-1 scoreline suggests Guardiola's men eased past the League Two side, but that was not the case as they had to really dig deep at times. Then came a 3-2 victory against Swansea City in the quarter-finals - a day that City were given an almighty scare as they trailed 2-0 at the Liberty Stadium with a little over 20 minutes to go.

In fact, City required a huge helping hand from the officials to overcome Swansea in that dramatic clash in South Wales. Had it not been for some questionable decisions, their season would be over by now.

As it was, Bernardo and Aguero struck either side of Kristoffer Nordfeldt's own goal to send the English champions through to the semi-finals, where they beat Brighton 1-0 - Jesus, a starter today, scoring the only goal of the match four minutes in.

This is the 11th time City have reached the final, but it is the first time they have competed in the showpiece event - so often one of the biggest days in the English footballing calendar - since 2013 when losing 1-0 to Wigan.

They have won the competition five times, though only once - in 2011 as they brushed aside Stoke City - during the Abu Dhabi era. That, when considering how good they have looked in recent times, is a pretty underwhelming return and one they will be looking to put right today.

The vast majority of City's squad have still yet to get their hands on the famous cup. This match therefore provides Aguero & Co with an opportunity to change all that, while also creating some English football history in the process.

Guardiola's men are the overwhelming favourites, though they have showed time and time again over the last two seasons that they can more than justify that tag. Yet, that said, the defeats to Wigan in this competition over the last six years will also be fresh in the memories of City's supporters inside Wembley today.

Manchester City beat Brighton last weekend to make it 14 wins in a row in the Premier League - enough to get them over the line, a point in front of Liverpool, in what was a thrilling title battle.

The Citizens also lifted the EFL Cup here in February with victory over Chelsea - a match best remembered for Kepa Arrizabalaga's refusal to leave the field - so they are now just one win away from making this the most dominant season ever seen in English football.

PREVIOUS MEETINGS!

Man City have eliminated Watford from the FA Cup in each of their previous three ties, winning 3-1 in 1996-97, 3-0 in 2012-13 and 4-2 in 2013-14. The Hornets' only elimination of City in the this competition came in the 1985-86 season in the fourth round.

Gracia's men have lost their last 10 matches against the Citizens in all competitions, conceding 32 goals in those games. They are winless in 15 matches against the Citizens overall since a 1-0 win in March 1989 in the second tier.

City won 3-1 in the most recent encounter between these sides at the Etihad Stadium in March, with Sterling helping himself to a hat-trick that day, three months on from winning the reverse league fixture 2-1 in Hertfordshire.

Watford do not exactly have the best of records in this fixture, then, although we are so often told that stats such as those count for little on cup final day. Guardiola has talked up Watford over the past couple of days and has been right to do so.

This has been a year of incredible comebacks, and Watford's miraculous recovery in the last round to overcome Wolves was one of the best of the lot. The Hornets were behind after 36 minutes and two down with just over an hour played through goals from Matt Doherty and Raul Jimenez.

Then Gracia brought on Deulofeu and everything changed. The Spanish attacker came on with 25 minutes of normal time left to play and exited the field having struck twice, either side of Deeney's penalty, to set up this final with City.

The comeback win over Wolves provided Watford's supporters with one of the most magical moments of their lives and, no matter what happens today, they will always have that day to look back on fondly.

That is not to say they have written off today as a bonus, though. When cup final appearances are this rare, with a three-decade gap since they last reached this stage, you can never have that attitude. Victory for Gracia's men today and each of them will become heroes in an instant.

Wolves did get a little revenge on Watford by finishing seventh in the top flight. However, there could be another sting in the tail so to speak as the Hornets can qualify for the Europa League today at Wanderers' expense should they lift the FA Cup.

There is more than just a cup on the line in that regard, then, as the return of European football at Vicarage Road is also up for grabs. A Watford win would also mean Manchester United having to play a qualifying match to even reach the Europa League, so they will have a close eye on events at Wembley.

Wolves were the third top-flight side Watford have defeated in their run to the final, having also beat Newcastle United 2-0 at St James' Park and Crystal Palace 2-1 on home soil. There was also a 2-0 win at Woking in round three and a slender 1-0 victory away to Queens Park Rangers.

Gracia heavily rotated his side for all the matches up to the semi-final stage, leading to criticism from the outside, though he will rightly point out that his decision to chop and change has ultimately paid off.

Watford are into their first FA Cup final in 35 years and finished 11th in the Premier League - not a bad first full campaign at Vicarage Road for Gracia, it is fair to say.

However, the Hornets' bottom-half finish can still be considered a little disappointing as the Hertfordshire outfit lost three league games in a row at the end of the season and went four without a win as their Premier League campaign fizzled out.

That is in stark contrast to Man City, who won game after game after game in the closing few months of the Premier League season. Not that Watford's supporters will care one bit if they can see off one of the best sides ever seen in English football to lift the FA Cup for the first time in their history.

Their only previous final appearance came in 1984 under manager Graham Taylor when losing 2-0 to Everton at the old Wembley. Now, after more than three decades of waiting, they have a chance to put that right today.

DID YOU KNOW?

This will be the first FA Cup final between two managers of the same nationality since 2008 (Dave Jones and Harry Redknapp). It's only the second time it's happened when the managers are not British, with the other being in 2001 between Frenchmen Arsene Wenger and Gerard Houllier.

Either Pep Guardiola or Javier Gracia will become the third Spanish manager to win the FA Cup, after Rafael Benitez (Liverpool, 2006) and Roberto Martinez (Wigan Athletic, 2013).

MANAGERS' COMMENTS!

With kickoff now less than five minutes away, let us check out some pre-match thoughts from both camps.

Javi Gracia: "I will be proud of my players whatever happens today. I don't need to play in a final to be proud of them. There's already a lot to be proud about this season, a lot we've been able to share with our supporters.

"Sometimes you can get a result to be even more proud but we are already satisfied with what we have done before. Now it's the moment to enjoy this match, and try to win it."

Pep Guardiola: "It's always difficult [selecting my team]. Gabriel Jesus is an incredible guy - you cannot imagine his mood in training; he is a fighter and he has played all the competition and scored a lot of goals and scored up to the final so he deserves to play.

"There are many other players like Nico [Otamendi] and John [Stones], so it's difficult for me to choose the right XI for the game, but it is what it is."

Both sets of players are now out on the field at Wembley Stadium and we are moments away from kickoff.

A reminder that both teams have made changes to their starting lineups - Jesus replacing Aguero for Man City; Mariappa and Gomes coming in for Kabasele and Foster for Watford.

We will now pause for the national anthem, before the real business gets under way.

KICKOFF:  Watford's 35-year wait for a second FA Cup final appearance is the longest since 1967, when Chelsea appeared in their second final 52 years after first featuring in 1915.

The Hornets, hoping for a better outcome this time around, get us up and running at Wembley Stadium!

City win a corner inside the first minute which Watford successfully defend. Deulofeu leads the counter but he cannot release Pereyra through the middle.
Deulofeu is being used out wide and has clearly been told to get at makeshift left-back Zinchenko. Otherwise, both teams are set up as expected.
SHOT!  Kompany is urged to shoot from range, two weeks on from his wonder goal against Leicester City, but decides against it.

Central-defensive teammate has other ideas, though, and sends his long-ranger high over the crossbar.

Cathcart does enough to put off David Silva, who can only watch as Gomes plucks the looping ball out of the air. It has been a tentative start from the English champions, although the same can be said of Watford.
There are fingers being pointed in the Watford defence as Mahrez carries the ball forward and picks out Bernardo down the line.

The ball is squared in the direction of Jesus but Cathcart is there to deal with the danger. That is the liveliest moment of the match so far.

That was a good run in behind from Bernardo, and one that Gracia will be a little concerned about. Watford cannot afford to let the versatile attacker drift into space.
Jesus gets the better of Holebas down the right but only had a corner to show for it. The corner comes to little as Watford stand firm.
SAVE!  Zinchenko gives away possession and within seconds Watford create a one-on-one opportunity. Deulofeu plays the ball inside and Pereyra has just Ederson to beat, but the Brazilian keeper is quickly out and blocks the shot with his leg.
SAVE!  Bernardo has a go from range but Gomes is equal to it. Guardiola will know that his side could so easily have been behind - he has Ederson to thank for that not being the case.

Gracia will be pleased with the start Watford have made to the game.

Referee Kevin Friend upsets Watford's supporters by bringing back play for Laporte's challenge on Deeney. Deulofeu was ready to charge at City's backline but was prevented from doing so by the whistle-happy official.
Holebas is asking his teammates for a little support down the right, where City are overloading. The full-back manages to cut out this latest cross for a corner.

The set-piece should have been a simple one for Gomes to deal with but he drops the ball. Thankfully for him, Mariappa was there to clear up.

Sterling would have been in on goal had Walker got his pass correct. There has been just the one real opportunity in the opening quarter of the match, and it fell Watford's way.

Ederson deserves huge praise for closing down the angle and blocking Pereyra's shot from inside the box.

PENALTY APPEAL!  Watford come close once again as Doucoure's shot hits Kompany on the upper arm right in front of goal. The Hornets want a penalty for handball but it would have been harsh on Kompany.

Following a scramble in the box, City - second best so far - manage to get the ball clear.

Doucoure was shown a yellow card for his protests when appealing for the penalty a few minutes ago. It went to VAR but it was decided the initial call from the referee not to point to the spot was the correct one.

Up the other end of the field, the ball is sent into the box but Gomes keeps hold of it.

GOAL!  MAN CITY 1-0 WATFORD (DAVID SILVA)
DAVID SILVA OPENS THE SCORING AT WEMBLEY! From pretty much out of nowhere, Man City open the scoring through what is a rare goal from David Silva - one of their longest-serving players.

Silva and Sterling both win headers - another rarity - and the Spaniard sends his shot into the bottom corner once teed up by his teammate. A good finish but an undeserved lead for the Citizens.

City have a couple of shots blocked as they close in on a second goal. Watford cannot afford to concede a second goal, having looked so bright in the opening quarter of an hour.

Gracia will be keen for his side to keep things tight for the time being to keep the cup final alive.

This is disappointing for Watford as Doucoure has hold of the ball but has nobody in a yellow and black top to aim for ahead of him.

The Citizens are looking a lot more comfortable now than they did before Silva's goal. You have to wonder if a second will follow before half time.

Mariappa produces a sublime tackle to stop Jesus from getting a shot away. A minute later, Gundogan nearly threads the ball through for Jesus, but the striker is a little off the pace and is unable to get hold of the ball.

City are starting to tighten their grip on the tie.

STAT! Silva ended a run of 27 games for Man City without scoring in all competitions with his well-taken strike. The Spaniard had attempted 34 shots and played 2066 minutes since he last found the net against Southampton on December 30th.
The majority of the game is being played out in Watford's half of the field now. Holebas is being given a horrible time of it by Mahrez down the City right - the full-back needs some support.

City win their seventh corner of the match, which is worked short and nodded behind for corner number eight.

GOAL!  MAN CITY 2-0 WATFORD (RAHEEM STERLING)
BREATHING SPACE FOR CITY! This had been coming since Silva opened the scoring 12 minutes ago.

Bernardo lifts the ball towards the back post, Jesus flicks it goalwards with a first-time shot and Sterling helps it on its way over the line.

It is officially awarded to Jesus but I think it will be credited to Sterling at some point as the ball did not appear to be over the line before he pounced.

SAVE!  Mahrez turns Holebas inside out, not for the first time today, and powers a shot on goal for Gomes to parry.

The Citizens have looked a lot more like their usual selves over the last 15 minutes. Watford look overwhelmed and risk shipping a third before half time.

It is worth remember at this point that Watford also trailed Wolves by a couple of goals in the semi-finals - and we all know what happened next!

That does not look like being the case today, though, as City are in control of the ball and still look as though they have another gear to move into should they need to.

Watford just cannot get the ball away from their box at the moment. The pressure has been pretty relentless from City since they edged in front somewhat against the run of play.

The Hornets are enjoying the odd positive moment, though, with Femenia's shot taking a deflection on its way through for their first corner of the evening.

HALF TIME:  MAN CITY 2-0 WATFORD
Man City take a 2-0 lead into half time thanks to goals from Silva and Sterling. Watford started the match well but they crumbled after City opened the scoring against the run of play.

They recovered from a couple of goals down in the semi-finals, though, so this one is not over yet.

City made a tentative start to the match and were grateful to keeper Ederson for keeping the match level with 11 minutes on the clock.

Watford hit their opponents on the counter and Gerard Deulofeu was played in down the left by Abdoulaye Doucoure, before shifting it into the middle for Roberto Pereyra.

The Argentina international's first touch set him nicely, but Ederson closed down the angle and made the save with his leg.

Then, after having a penalty appeal turned down when Doucoure's shot hit the arm of Vincent Kompany, Watford found themselves a goal down as Raheem Sterling cushioned the ball into David Silva's path and the Spaniard tucked his shot away from Heurelho Gomes.

That goal ended a run 27 games and 2066 minutes since Silva last found the net, and it transformed City as they looked a lot more like their usual selves from that point on.

Following a spell of pressure, Bernardo Silva lifted the ball over Watford's defence, Gabriel Jesus flicked it goalwards and Sterling helped it over the line from the crossbar to give his side some breathing space.

It could have been 3-0 at the interval as Riyad Mahrez had a powerful shot kept out, but as things stand there is still hope for Gracia's men - just!

BENCH WATCH!

MAN CITY SUBS: Muric, Danilo, Stones, Aguero, De Bruyne, Sane, Otamendi

WATFORD SUBS: Foster, Janmaat, Cleverley, Success, Masina, Gray, Kabasele

KICKOFF:  Man City, within 45 minutes of achieving a clean sweep of domestic honours, get us back up and running at Wembley Stadium.

The Hornets created one big chance in the first half and can make it game on if they score the next goal.

Deeney finds Pereyra in the box but the attacker did not have the confidence to shoot first time. Instead he looked to help the ball on for a teammate and the attack broke down.

A positive start to the second half for Watford, nonetheless!

DISALLOWED GOAL!  Watford are pressing City high up the pitch and that almost backfired spectacularly as Sterling turns two men, charges 40 yards up the field and plays in Jesus, whose shot is saved by Gomes at his near post.

Jesus finds the back of the net with his header from the corner but he was stood in an offside position.

This gives a better indication of why there was confusion over who should be credited with City's second goal.

Jesus flicked Bernardo's cross past Gomes and it would have crossed the line had Sterling not got to it first.

Sterling is now the first player to both score and assist a goal in an FA Cup final since Alexis Sanchez for Arsenal against Aston Villa in 2015.

Watford, clearly knowing that they now have nothing to lose, are happy to take risks in the second half. They are pressing their opponents high up the field but the ball just will not drop for them.

Pereyra's shot 11 minutes in remains the Hornets' only attempt on target all evening. Gracia could do with making a change.

MAN CITY SUB! Another penalty shout is rejected for Watford - this latest one far weaker than the shout they had for handball against Kompany in the first half.

The Hornets are dominating possession now, which is strange to see against City, but at the same time the Citizens have their opponents right where they want them.

De Bruyne is on for Mahrez with 10 minutes of the second half played.

CLOSE!  De Bruyne sends the ball in from the right and Cathcart is the first player to it. Laporte climbs above Mariappa to meet Gundogan's corner, sending his header a yard wide of the far post.
SHOT!  Capoue heads the ball over the top of City's defence and Deulofeu is the wrong side of Kompany. However, the Spaniard's first-time shot is rather scuffed and trickles wide of the far post.

The match has become incredibly open all of a sudden.

YELLOW CARD!  This is a clear yellow card for Silva, who slips on the ball and brings down Hughes to prevent the Watford midfielder from charging clear. We have now played an hour at Wembley and Gracia is surely considering a change.
GOAL!  MAN CITY 3-0 WATFORD (KEVIN DE BRUYNE)
GAME OVER AT WEMBLEY! This is the goal that kills off Watford's cup hopes. City hit their opponents on the counter, with Sterling flicking the ball in behind for Jesus, who tees up De Bruyne.

The Belgian playmaker dummied his shot, leaving Gomes looking a little silly, and then converted into an unguarded net.

STAT! Man City have scored 23 goals in the 2018-19 FA Cup - the most by a team in a single season in the competition since Chelsea netted 25 in 1969-70.

The Citizens look as though they have one or two more in them, too, as it is Guardiola's men who are asking all of the questions.

WATFORD SUB! There will be no Wembley magic for Deulofeu today - he has been replaced by Gray for the final quarter of the game. Pereyra is also off, with Success taking over in attacking midfield.
GOAL!  MAN CITY 4-0 WATFORD (GABRIEL JESUS)
CITY SLICE THROUGH WATFORD! It is another goal on the counter for City as Jesus is given the freedom of Wembley.

The Brazilian cushions the ball down for De Bruyne, who slips the return pass through for his teammate to take in his stride and charge towards goal.

With just compatriot Gomes to beat, he coolly sends his shot into the back of the net.

CHANCE!  The ball is laid back for De Bruyne, who has been superb since coming off the bench, but the Belgian lifts his curler into the stands from a glorious position.

Watford just want the full-time whistle now - what a shame because they looked very bright for the first 20 minutes or so.

MAN CITY SUB! Doucoure shoots into the stands when put under pressure by Kompany, who is seemingly desperate to keep a clean sheet on what could still be his final appearance in a City shirt.

Gundogan has picked up an injury and, with no holding midfielders in the squad, is replaced by winger Sane.

City are just knocking the ball around with ease now, refusing to let their opponents get a touch. We are 76 minutes into the tie and the Citizens know that their name is on the trophy.

Watford would happily accept the full-time whistle before things get embarrassing.

MAN CITY SUB! After knocking the ball around for what felt like an eternity - there had to be 60 or so passes - Guardiola makes his third and final change as opening goalscorer Silva is replaced by Stones.
YELLOW CARD!  Guardiola's men are continuing to go through the motions as we enter the final 10 minutes. Frustration gets the better of Femenia as he drags down Sane to earn himself a yellow card.

Watford's players are looking incredibly tired, having been made to chase the ball for the best part of an hour now.

GOAL!  MAN CITY 5-0 WATFORD (RAHEEM STERLING)
STERLING MAKES IT FIVE! It is becoming difficult viewing now as Watford are being crushed on what was meant to be their big day out.

Bernardo fizzes the ball in from the left and Sterling converts from inside the six-yard box. Gomes gets a couple of hands to the ball but can only push it into the roof of his net.

CLOSE!  Bernardo has a chance to make it six but Femenia makes a vital block - as vital as a block can be at 5-0 down, that is - to lift the ball over the bar.

The Citizens are not taking their foot off the gas, sensing that there is history to be made here if they were to score a sixth to match Bury's 6-0 win from 1903.

Watford's supporters have started to wave their flags. It's a shame that their players did not do likewise at 2-0 down because they could have left Wembley with some credibility!

Still City come forward, refusing to give up in their pursuit of a sixth goal. They have around five more minutes to score it.

GOAL!  MAN CITY 6-0 WATFORD (RAHEEM STERLING)
STERLING COMPLETES HIS HAT-TRICK! Assuming the second goal is awarded to him, this strike from Sterling makes him a hat-trick scorer against Watford for the second time this season.

De Bruyne teed up the English attacker, whose initial shot was pushed on to the post by Gomes, only for Sterling to react quickest to the rebound.

These last 25 minutes from City have been ruthless. What more can you say about the Citizens - after this it is hard to argue that they are not the best side English football as ever witnessed.

De Bruyne has just been named as Man of the Match, despite spending the first 55 minutes or so sat on the bench!

SAVE!  Sterling squares the ball for Stones and only the outstretched legs of Gomes prevent City from setting another record. Only two minutes have been added on so that may well be that - unless they can convert from the corner.
FULL TIME:  MAN CITY 6-0 WATFORD
MANCHESTER CITY ARE THE 2019 FA CUP WINNERS!
What an incredible display that was from Man City. Watford started the game the better of the two sides and were only denied the opening goal by a good save from Ederson on Pereyra 11 minutes in.

It was all about the Citizens' quality in front of goal from that point on, though, as Sterling helped himself to a hat-trick and Silva, De Bruyne and Jesus also registered in the one-sided final.

That concludes Sports Mole's live text coverage of events from Wembley Stadium.

An on-the-whistle report can be found by clicking here, and be sure to stick around as we bring you reaction from both camps elsewhere on the site.

Otherwise, we will be back tomorrow with updates from the La Liga games involving Real Madrid and Barcelona. See you then!
