The Football Association have confirmed that referee Andre Marriner will oversee next month's FA Cup final between Manchester City and Wigan Athletic.
The 42-year-old previously officiated an FA Cup final in 2011 when Manchester United secured a 1-0 victory over Stoke City.
"To be involved in the FA Cup final is ultimately every schoolboy's dream and, as an occasion, they don't come much bigger," said Marriner. "I'll approach the final as I would any other fixture but obviously the whole event is on a completely different scale as it is the biggest club game in world football."
The May 11 final will be Marriner's third time at Wembley following the 2010 Community Shield match between United and Chelsea and Cardiff City's battle against Blackpool in the Championship playoff earlier that same year.
