Sergio Aguero scores a hat-trick as Manchester City come from behind to beat Watford 4-2 in their FA Cup tie at the Etihad Stadium.

Manchester City have come from two goals down to beat Watford 4-2 in their FA Cup fourth-round tie at the Etihad Stadium.

Watford felt that they should have a penalty when Ikechi Anya took the ball past Costel Pantilimon before being brought down by the goalkeeper, but nothing was given by the referee.

In the 21st minute, the visitors took a shock lead. Fernando Forestieri was slid through on goal by Troy Deeney and kept his cool to finish through the legs of Pantilimon.

Watford scored their second on the half-hour mark when Deeney latched onto Anya's pass and slotted the ball into the back of the net.

The visitors nearly went into the break with a three-goal lead, but Daniel Pudil saw his strike come back off the post.

It took City until the hour mark to pull a goal back, as Sergio Aguero slotted home Aleksandar Kolarov's cross.

The home side piled on the pressure and Aguero drew them level in the 79th minute when he cut inside and curled a strike into top corner.

Three minutes from the end of the match, City scored their third of the afternoon through Kolarov, whose long-range effort somehow found its way past Jonathan Bond and into the back of the net.

Aguero headed in to seal his hat-trick in stoppage time and book City's place in the fifth round of the competition.
