While Aguero enjoyed a run of appearances before the international break, the Argentine has not been seen since lasting 63 minutes against Leicester City on April 3. Guardiola has cited a 'number of niggles' as the reason for the forward's absence, which could be prolonged until at least the weekend.

De Bruyne sustained an ankle injury during the early stages of the second half against Chelsea, an issue which led to his immediate withdrawal. After the game, Guardiola suggested that the playmaker faced some time on the sidelines, effectively ruling the Belgian out of this contest.
