Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson aiming to cause problems for Manchester City

Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson believes that his team can cause Manchester City problems in the fifth round of the League Cup.

Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson has said that his players should not be afraid of facing Manchester City in the Capital One Cup fifth-round tie.

Championship side Leicester host Manuel Pellegrini's star-studded outfit, who will be flying high after their 6-3 victory over Premier League leaders Arsenal on Saturday, tomorrow night.

The Foxes go into the game well placed in the top three of the Championship and Pearson believes that they should cause problems for City.

"I think games like this, we've worked hard to earn this tie and I don't see any reason why we shouldn't go out there and try to enjoy it," PA quotes Pearson as saying. "But to enjoy it we've got to play well and give them a few problems.

"We're not daft, we know they're a very good side but I don't think we should go into this game with anything other than high expectations of ourselves to make life difficult for them. If we do that then who knows?"

Leicester reached the fifth round by beating another Premier League opponent, Fulham, 4-3.
