Sunday morning's Manchester City transfer talk news roundup:
Manchester City 'considering re-signing Douglas Luiz from Aston Villa'
Manchester City are reportedly monitoring Douglas Luiz's form at Aston Villa as they consider re-signing the central midfielder in one of the upcoming transfer windows.
The Brazilian joined City from Vasco da Gama in 2017 but did not make a single first-team appearance for the Citizens, spending two seasons on loan with Girona before joining Villa permanently in 2019.
The 22-year-old has impressed during his time with Dean Smith's side and has been a constant in their starting XI in the early stages of the 2020-21 campaign.
According to Eurosport, Pep Guardiola's side are keeping their eyes on the South American as they weigh up the possibility of bringing him back to the Etihad Stadium.
City are thought to have a buy-back option on the central midfielder, although the exact figure and details surrounding the arrangement are unclear.
Luiz has provided two assists in eight outings for a revitalised Villa this season.
Real Madrid to rival Barcelona for Eric Garcia?
Real Madrid are reportedly interested in signing Manchester City centre-back Eric Garcia.
The 19-year-old was strongly linked with a return to Barcelona over the summer, but the Catalan giants could not come to an agreement with the Citizens over a transfer fee.
Garcia has signalled that he does not want to extend his contract at the Etihad Stadium, meaning that as it stands he will be a free agent next summer.
Barca could return with an offer for the teenager in January, but according to Sport, Madrid have also joined the race for the Spain international.
The report claims that Villarreal's Pau Torres has also emerged as a potential option for Zinedine Zidane's side either in January or at the end of the 2020-21 campaign.
Madrid will allegedly make an announcement on Sergio Ramos's future at the start of next week.
