Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has confirmed that his knee injury is not as bad as initially feared.
The Argentine forward was stretchered off in the first 10 minutes of City's opening Premier League match against Southampton on Sunday after a challenge from Nathaniel Clyne.
The 24-year-old took to Twitter to assure fans that he will begin physio immediately as he aims to make a speedy recovery.
Aguero tweeted: "Thank you all for your concern. I'm better but still resting with an ice pack on the swollen area.
"And very eager to start recovery physio tomorrow! I'll keep you posted. All the best!"
City travel to Anfield to take on Liverpool in their next league match on Sunday, August 26.
