Stevan Jovetic has promised Manchester City supporters that they will see the best of him this season following an injury-blighted first year in English football.
The 24-year-old endured an indifferent opening season at Eastlands, making just six starts in all competitions following a £22m move from Fiorentina.
However, Jovetic enjoyed a strong pre-season campaign for the Citizens and now believes that he is ready to show the club what their money bought.
"I had a good pre-season, now I can't wait to get started. Last season I was injured a lot and that was the number one problem," he told reporters.
"But in the final three or four months, it was fine and I was playing. This year it is going to be better."
The reigning Premier League champions kick off the defence of their crown with a trip to Newcastle United on Sunday evening.
