Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini believes that playing two Premier League fixtures within 48 hours of each other is "incredible".
City host Liverpool on Boxing Day before Crystal Palace travel to the Etihad Stadium two days later, and the Chilean chief has admitted that he will rotate his squad for the club's fixtures over Christmas.
The 60-year-old told reporters: "We always change things every match. It is very important for me to rotate the squad.
"We have to play December 26 and December 28, which is less than 48 hours. It's incredible that we have to play two matches so close together.
"We'll see after the next match what the best selection will be for our next game."
Pellegrini takes his team to Craven Cottage to play Fulham on Saturday.
