Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has lavished praise on Gabriel Jesus following Saturday's 5-0 victory over Norwich City in the Premier League.
Jesus, who represented Brazil at this summer's Copa America, played a key role in his side's first of the afternoon, before Jack Grealish, Aymeric Laporte, Raheem Sterling and Riyad Mahrez all registered at the Etihad Stadium.
The Citizens continue to be linked with a move for Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane, and the forward's arrival this summer would likely limit the playing time of Man City's Brazilian attacker.
However, Guardiola has detailed the importance of the 24-year-old, who scored 14 times for the English champions during the 2020-21 campaign.
"He's a player who likes to play more wide than in the central positions. One of the reasons why I'm a manager in the best moments of my career is when you can work with people, humans like Gabriel," journalist Simon Bajkowski quoted Guardiola as saying.
Man City will attempt to make it three straight wins at the start of the new Premier League season when they host Arsenal on August 28. body check tags ::
