Manchester City midfielder Rodri has claimed the Premier League Goal of the Month award for November with his powerful strike against Everton.
The 25-year-old fought off competition from Citizens teammate Raheem Sterling as well as Trent Alexander-Arnold, Harvey Barnes, Maxwel Cornet, John McGinn, N'Golo Kante and Raul Jimenez to claim the accolade.
Rodri netted his second goal of the season when his thundering first-time effort from 25 yards out flew into the top-left corner, helping the hosts on their way to a 3-0 victory against the Toffees at the Etihad Stadium.
The Spain international has become the first City player to win the award since playmaker Kevin De Bruyne in July 2020.
"It's an unbelievable feeling, not very common. I think I need to shoot more times in this situation. I saw very clear the finish and when the ball went in it was an amazing feeling," Rodri told Man City's official website after the win against Everton.
"At the end when I hit it first time (I knew) it was in, it was one of those moments when you hit it perfectly."
Rodri joins Pep Guardiola in claiming a November accolade, after the Spanish head coach was voted the Manager of the Month. body check tags ::
