Summer signing Erling Braut Haaland will make his Premier League debut for reigning champions Manchester City in their opening fixture of the new season away at West Ham United on Sunday.
The 22-year-old was unable to score on his competitive debut in the Community Shield defeat to Liverpool last weekend, but he now gets another chance to open his account after being named in Pep Guardiola's starting lineup for their trip to the London Stadium.
Guardiola has made two changes to the side which began against Liverpool, with Ilkay Gundogan and Phil Foden both handed starts at the expense of Bernardo Silva and Riyad Mahrez, who are named on the substitutes' bench.
A back four of Kyle Walker, Ruben Dias, Nathan Ake and Joao Cancelo remains intact, shielding goalkeeper Ederson between the sticks.
Gundogan is joined in a three-man midfield with Spanish lynchpin Rodri and Belgian playmaker Kevin De Bruyne, while Foden and Haaland will line up in attack with Jack Grealish, who scored in the 2-2 draw at the London Stadium at the backend of last season.
As for West Ham, David Moyes is set to use Ben Johnson as a centre-back alongside Kurt Zouma, with Nayef Aguerd, Craig Dawson and Issa Diop all not involved in today's matchday squad.
Jarrod Bowen, Manuel Lanzini and Pablo Fornals are to provide support in attack for lone striker Michail Antonio, while summer recruits Flynn Downes and Gianluca Scamacca could make their debuts off the bench. There is no place in the squad for Maxwel Cornet, however, who joined the club from Burnley on Friday.
