Aston Villa have welcomed Jack Grealish back to training amid persistent speculation surrounding a move to Manchester City.
The 25-year-old has been enjoying an extended break from preparations following his Euro 2020 exploits with England, with reported interest from the Premier League champions rumbling on in the background.
Villa are reportedly prepared to accept City's £100m bid for Grealish - which would represent a British transfer record - but the attacker reported for training on Monday morning in the meantime.
A video shared by Villa on Twitter showed the attacker participating in warm-up drills with other members of Villa's first team, although he is supposedly set for crunch talks with the Villa hierarchy over his future.
Dean Smith's side are thought to be hopeful of convincing Grealish to stay with a £200k-a-week contract offer, but City reportedly expect the England international to hand in a transfer request during showdown talks with Villa.
While Grealish reported for training on Monday morning, Harry Kane allegedly failed to turn up to Tottenham Hotspur's complex for pre-season tests.
