Manchester City have decided to open talks with Raheem Sterling over a new contract, according to a report.
The England winger has been in superb form for the high-flying Citizens this season, scoring 13 goals in 19 appearances.
Sterling has also grabbed four goals in the 84th minute or later, including one in each of his side's last three games - winners against Feyenoord, Huddersfield Town and Southampton.
The 22-year-old has over two-and-a-half years remaining on his current contract but, according to Sky Sports News, Man City intend to open discussions with Sterling over a new deal.
Sterling joined the Etihad Stadium outfit from Premier League rivals Liverpool in July 2015 in a deal worth up to £49m and has netted 34 goals in 113 appearances for the club.
