Manchester City have expressed an interest in signing Croatian defender Darijo Srna, according to reports.
The 34-year-old, who represented his nation on 134 occasions between 2002 and 2016, has spent the last 13 years with Shakhtar Donetsk, winning eight Ukrainian titles in the process.
According to the Manchester Evening News, Barcelona are already in talks with Srna, but Man City director of football Txiki Begiristain is ready to hijack the move.
The Blaugrana are said to view Srna as a replacement for Aleix Vidal, while the Citizens reportedly want him to cover for long-term absentee Pablo Zabaleta.
Srna's Shakhtar contract runs out at the end of the current season.
