Incoming Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is reportedly interested in bringing Barcelona centre-back Marc Bartra to the Premier League this summer.
Guardiola, who is currently in charge of Bayern Munich, is expected to be handed significant funds to improve Man City's ageing squad when he takes charge at the end of the season.
It is understood that the Spaniard is keen on acquiring a ball-playing centre-back and according to The Mirror, Bartra has emerged as Guardiola's leading target ahead of Athletic Bilbao's Aymeric Laporte.
Bartra, 25, came through the academy at Barcelona and has made more than 101 first-team appearances for the Spanish giants since his debut during the 2010-11 season.
The Spanish international has largely struggled to cement a regular first-team spot at Camp Nou, however, and it is understood that he is open to a move.
