Southampton have expressed an interest in signing Manchester City winger Patrick Roberts on loan, according to reports.
The 20-year-old has spent the last 16 months on loan at Celtic, scoring 17 times in 60 appearances for the Scottish giants.
According to the Daily Mail, new Saints boss Mauricio Pellegrino wants to bolster his side's attack and will ask Pep Guardiola if Roberts is in his plans.
The report goes on to say that the Man City boss wants to see how Roberts fares in pre-season before making a decision on his immediate future.
Roberts, whose contract lasts until 2020, has won two Scottish Premiership titles, in addition to one Scottish League Cup and one Scottish Cup, while at Celtic.
