Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has insisted that midfielder Nemanja Matic does not feature in his plans for the Champions League fixture with CSKA Moscow.
At the weekend, Matic played the full 90 minutes - despite being rated as doubtful - as United ran out 3-1 winners over Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
However, Mourinho has ruled Matic out of Tuesday's clash at Old Trafford through injury, acknowledging that the Serbian international may also benefit from a rest.
The 54-year-old told reporters: "We have problems, we have injuries. Matic is injured and when I say he is injured, he is injured.
"I am not going to make him play tomorrow so Matic is out. A couple of others guys are playing every match and they also need a rest. More importantly, the others deserve an opportunity to play."
Matic has made 20 starts for United in all competitions since joining from Chelsea during the summer.
