Sergio Ramos has declared himself "proud" after Real Madrid beat Manchester United 2-1 in their last-16 tie in the Champions League on Tuesday evening.
Jose Mourinho's side overcame United 3-2 on aggregate to progress to the quarter-final stage of Europe's premier competition and the Spanish defender took to Twitter to state his happiness at the result.
"[I am] proud and happy to be in the quarter-finals of the Champions League after beating a great team such as Manchester United," tweeted Ramos.
The centre-back put through his own net to give Sir Alex Ferguson's side the lead early in the second half before Luka Modric hit back on 66 minutes, after Nani had been sent off 10 minutes earlier.
Cristiano Ronaldo grabbed the winner for the Liga champions three minutes after Modric's equaliser.
