Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney has tipped the squad to "bounce back" from the disappointing defeat to Liverpool when they play Olympiacos in the Champions League on Wednesday.
The Red Devils were beaten 3-0 by their fierce rivals at Old Trafford on Sunday, and host the Greek side in European action looking to turn around a 2-0 deficit from last month's first leg.
Despite the insipid performance against the Reds, the England striker thinks that the squad will eventually make their quality tell.
The Mirror quotes him as saying: "It's disappointing, but we have to bounce back because we have a big game on Wednesday,
"I thought the fans were magnificent. Towards the end, they were fantastic for us. As a team in the dressing room, we really appreciate that.
"It's difficult but we've been here before and this is where the character of the lads will have to shine through."
United are currently seventh in the Premier League.
