How Manchester United could line up against Copenhagen

Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Manchester United could line up for Wednesday's Champions League clash with Copenhagen.

Manchester United attacker Marcus Rashford will be available to play in Wednesday's Champions League group-stage clash away against Copenhagen.

Rashford, who was criticised by manager Erik ten Hag for attending a nightclub hours after their derby defeat to Manchester City, was not named in the matchday squad for the 1-0 win at Fulham in the Premier League on Saturday due to a knock to his leg sustained in training.

However, Ten Hag has since revealed that the England international is available for selection, while defender Victor Lindelof will also travel to Denmark after missing the win at Craven Cottage due to illness.

The Red Devils will be without Casemiro (hamstring), Lisandro Martinez (foot), Luke Shaw (muscle), Amad Diallo and Tyrell Malacia (both knee) due to injury, while Jadon Sancho (disciplinary) also remains unavailable for selection.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka started his first Man United game for two months in the win at Fulham after recovering from injury, and the right-back could retain his place in the first XI on Wednesday, with Diogo Dalot set to battle with Sergio Reguilon and potentially Lindelof for a start at left-back.

Harry Maguire was in the wars against Fulham but battled his way through the 90 minutes, and the centre-back – who scored the match-winner in the reverse fixture against Copenhagen – should continue in defence alongside either Raphael Varane or Jonny Evans.

Sofyan Amrabat and Mason Mount will push for a recall in centre-midfield at the expense of Scott McTominay and Christian Eriksen, although the latter two are seemingly more likely to retain their places, while Bruno Fernandes – who scored the only goal against Fulham last weekend – is set to continue in the number 10 role.

Rashford's expected return to the first XI will likely see Alejandro Garnacho take a place on the substitutes' bench, while Antony is at risk of being dropped following his recent poor performances, with Facundo Pellistri in contention to start on the right as Copenhagen-born striker Rasmus Hojlund continues to lead the line.

Manchester United possible starting lineup: Onana; Wan-Bissaka, Varane, Maguire, Dalot; McTominay, Eriksen; Pellistri, Fernandes, Rashford; Hojlund body check tags ::
