AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic is expected to miss his reunion with Manchester United in the Europa League after picking up a thigh injury, according to a report.
The 39-year-old lasted 56 minutes of Sunday's 2-1 victory over Roma before being replaced by Rafael Leao, and he was subsequently seen icing his leg in the dugout.
AC Milan drew Man United - Ibrahimovic's former club - in the draw for the last 16 of the Europa League last week, with the first leg of that tie set to take place on March 11.
However, the Daily Mail reports that Ibrahimovic's injury will not be examined until that date, so he is all but certain to sit out the trip to Old Trafford.
The report adds that the Swedish forward will eye a return to action the following week when Man United pay a visit to San Siro, and he would be desperate to face off against the team for whom he played 53 games and scored 29 goals between 2016 and 2018.
Ibrahimovic has showed no signs of slowing down this season as he approaches his 40th birthday, with the former United man banking 14 goals in 14 Serie A appearances in the 2020-21 campaign.
