Paul Scholes has claimed that Manchester City will struggle to perform in the Champions League for a number of years.
Both Manchester clubs are preparing for their Europa League campaigns, but United midfielder Scholes believes that their rivals will struggle when they return to the Champions League.
When asked whether City would win the competition in the next five years, the 37-year-old responded: "I hope not. And I don't think they will. City have found how difficult it can be this year.
"I think they went into the Champions League a bit arrogant. They're playing against proper teams. It's not like the Europa League."
City face FC Porto in the Europa League and United will take on Ajax in the competition.
