Manchester United will be bidding to book their spot in the semi-finals of the FA Cup when they welcome Liverpool to Old Trafford in the quarter-finals of the competition on Sunday afternoon.

The Red Devils will enter the contest off the back of a 2-0 victory over Everton in the Premier League last weekend.

Erik ten Hag's side sit six points behind fifth-placed Tottenham Hotspur and eight from fourth-placed Aston Villa in the Premier League table, but their attention will currently be firmly on the biggest cup competition in English football.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Man United's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the clash with Liverpool, who drew 1-1 with Manchester City in the league last weekend.

Harry Maguire

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Unknown
Possible return date: March 17 (vs. Liverpool)

Maguire has been absent for Man United's last three matches due to an unspecified injury, but the England international is on course to return to the squad against Liverpool.

Omari Forson

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Unspecified
Possible return date: March 17 (vs. Liverpool)

Ten Hag said during his press conference last Friday that Forson would be missing for the clash with Everton due to an unspecified issue, and he will need to be assessed ahead of this game.

Rasmus Hojlund

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Muscle
Possible return date: March 17 (vs. Liverpool)

Hojlund has missed Man United's last four matches with a muscular problem, but the Denmark international is on course to return to action against Liverpool this weekend.

Tyrell Malacia

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Malacia is in individual training, as he bids to recover from a knee injury which has required two separate operations, but the Dutchman is likely to miss the rest of the campaign.

Mason Mount

Status: Out
Type of injury: Calf
Possible return date: March 30 (vs. Brentford)

Mount, who has had a difficult first season at Old Trafford, has returned to training after recovering from a calf issue, and Ten Hag is expecting him back after the international break.

Lisandro Martinez

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: April 4 (vs. Chelsea)

Central defender Martinez will be out until at least the start of April due to the severe knee injury which he suffered against West Ham United in the Premier League at the start of February.

Anthony Martial

Status: Out
Type of injury: Groin
Possible return date: Unknown

Martial, who has not featured for the Red Devils since early December, recently underwent a groin operation which will sideline him until at least the early stages of next month.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Muscle
Possible return date: March 17 (vs. Liverpool)

Wan-Bissaka was again absent against Everton last time out due to an issue which he picked up in training, but the defender is in line to return against Liverpool in the FA Cup.

Luke Shaw

Status: Out
Type of injury: Muscle
Possible return date: Unknown

Shaw is facing "a few months" out with another muscular problem, with the left-back believed to be battling to return to action before the end of the season.
