Manchester United will be bidding to book their spot in the fourth round of the FA Cup when they travel to Wigan Athletic on Monday night.

The Red Devils will enter the contest off the back of a 2-1 loss at Nottingham Forest in the Premier League last weekend, with the result leaving them down in eighth position in the table.

Erik ten Hag's side have lost 14 times in all competitions this season and will be aiming to avoid what would be a shock in the third round of the FA Cup.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Man United's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the clash with Wigan, who are currently 17th in the League One table.

Casemiro

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: January 14 (vs. Tottenham Hotspur)

Casemiro picked up a hamstring injury during the EFL Cup defeat to Newcastle United in November, but the experienced midfielder is back in training and could be back against Spurs.

Tyrell Malacia

Status: Out

Possible return date: Unknown

Malacia is also still on the sidelines due to a knee injury which has required two separate operations, but he is due to return to action by the end of January.

Lisandro Martinez

Martinez is back in full first-team training alongside Casemiro after recovering from a foot operation, and the centre-back has a chance of being involved against Tottenham.

Possible return date: January 14 (vs. Tottenham)

Maguire had to be replaced in the first half of the clash with Bayern Munich on December 12 due to a groin problem, and he will again miss out here, but the defender could be back against Spurs.

Sofyan Amrabat

Status: Out
Type of injury: Unknown
Possible return date: Unknown

Amrabat has recently been absent due to a minor injury, but he is now set to represent Morocco at the Africa Cup of Nations, and it is unclear when he will be available for Man United again.

Mason Mount

Possible return date: Unknown

Mount has recently been back in training after recovering from a calf issue, but he will not be available for selection until the latter stages of the month.

Victor Lindelof

Status: Out
Type of injury: Unknown
Possible return date: January 14 (vs. Tottenham)

Lindelof has missed Man United's last six matches with an unspecified issue, and the Sweden international has been forced to undergo a minor operation, but he could return to the squad against Spurs.

Anthony Martial

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Illness
Possible return date: January 8 (vs. Wigan)

Martial has missed his side's last five matches due to illness, but the attacker has a chance of being back in the squad against Wigan.

Luke Shaw

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Unknown
Possible return date: January 8 (vs. Wigan)

Shaw missed out against Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest due to an unspecified issue, but the left-back could be back for the FA Cup contest with Wigan.

Rasmus Hojlund

Possible return date: January 8 (vs. Wigan)

Hojlund missed out against Forest due to illness, but the Denmark international could be back in the squad for the clash in the third round of the FA Cup.
