Sports Mole previews the FA Cup fourth-round replay between Manchester United and Cambridge United.

Cambridge United will attempt to do the seemingly impossible once again when they travel to Old Trafford to meet Manchester United in the FA Cup fourth-round replay between the two sides.

Just over a week ago the result was an inevitability, according to some onlookers, as the Premier League side arrived at the Abbey Stadium with the likes of Radamel Falcao, Angel di Maria, David De Gea and plenty of other internationals in their squad.

However, Cambridge produced an admirable effort at both ends of the pitch to frustrate their rivals, and they delighted the locals by clinging on for a goalless draw which is likely to be remembered forever by supporters of the League Two side.

It could be too much to ask the players to repeat that achievement, but they will head to one of the most famous grounds in England upbeat as they look to write their names in the history books again.

For Manchester United, nothing less than a convincing win will be enough, and although the fixture was probably not wanted by Louis van Gaal, the Dutchman will be keen to secure his side's progress as he looks to tastes success in his first season with the club.

They returned to winning ways with a comfortable 3-1 victory over Leicester City on Saturday afternoon, and the mood was further improved thanks to top-four rival Southampton's loss to Swansea City a day later.

A tricky trip to Upton Park to face West Ham United is waiting on Sunday afternoon, and that fixture will force Van Gaal to rotate once again, but a number of his key players are expected to be involved on Tuesday as they look to avoid an embarrassing upset.

Wayne Rooney could start in attack as Van Gaal considers resting Falcao and Robin van Persie, while James Wilson, Ander Herrera and Paddy McNair are among the players in contention for a starting spot.

Cambridge followed the performance in the first match with a draw against Dagenham & Redbridge before suffering a 3-2 loss to Luton Town on Saturday, and Richard Money has a number of big decisions to make regarding his team selection.

Luke Chadwick, who won the Premier League with Manchester United, is set to be handed a start at Old Trafford, while Robbie Simpson could lead the attack for the visitors.
