Sports Mole rounds up Manchester United's injury and suspension news ahead of their Champions League clash with Atletico Madrid.
Sports Mole

Manchester United will be looking to book their spot in the quarter-finals of the Champions League when they welcome Atletico Madrid to Old Trafford on Tuesday night.

The Red Devils are level at 1-1 with Atletico following the first leg of their last-16 affair in Spain, and the Premier League outfit will now be looking to finish the job in front of their own supporters.

Ralf Rangnick's side will enter the contest off the back of a 3-2 win over Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League on Saturday, which has left them in fourth position in the table on 50 points, two points clear of fifth-placed Arsenal.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Man United's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the contest with Atletico, who beat Cadiz 2-1 on Friday night.

Scott McTominay

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Calf
Possible return date: March 15 (vs. Atletico)

Scott McTominay missed out against Tottenham on Saturday due to a calf problem, but the Scotland international has a chance of returning for this match.

Bruno Fernandes

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Illness
Possible return date: March 15 (vs. Atletico)

Bruno Fernandes was not available against Tottenham due to illness, but he has not tested positive for COVID-19 despite reports, so the Portugal international could still make this match.

Luke Shaw

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: COVID-19
Possible return date: March 15 (vs. Atletico)

Luke Shaw was again not involved against Spurs after recently testing positive for COVID-19, but Rangnick has said that he expects the left-back to be available against Atletico.

MAN UNITED'S SUSPENSION LIST

Mason Greenwood

Possible return date: Unknown

Mason Greenwood was recently arrested on suspicion of rape, assault, sexual assault and making threats to kill, and he has been suspended by the Red Devils until further notice.
