Manchester United team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Crystal Palace

Sports Mole rounds up Manchester United's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Wednesday's Premier League clash with Crystal Palace.
Sports Mole

Manchester United will go in search of their 10th successive victory in all competitions when they travel to Selhurst Park to face Crystal Palace on Wednesday night.

The Red Devils dented Manchester City's title ambitions with a 2-1 success in the derby on Saturday, where Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford cancelled out Jack Grealish's opener.

Erik ten Hag's men now hold a five-point lead over Tottenham Hotspur - who have played a game more - in fourth place, and a nine-point gap to leaders Arsenal is hardly impossible to make up.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Man United's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their clash with Palace, who suffered a 1-0 defeat to Chelsea last time out.

Marcus Rashford

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Knock
Possible return date: January 18 (vs. Palace)

Marcus Rashford took a knock to the hip in the Manchester derby, although he played through the pain until being taken off in stoppage time. The England international's issue is not thought to be a serious one, and he should be in contention to feature in midweek.

Anthony Martial

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Unspecified
Possible return date: January 18 (vs. Palace)

Anthony Martial was named in the starting lineup for the visit of Man City, but he had to be taken off at half time with an "unspecified" complaint, and it remains to be seen if he will be able to face Palace.

Jadon Sancho

Status: Out
Type of injury: Fitness
Possible return date: Unknown

Jadon Sancho is still undergoing an individual fitness programme, and having been unavailable once again for the visit of Man City, the attacker is highly unlikely to play a part on Wednesday.

Axel Tuanzebe

Status: Out
Type of injury: Unknown
Possible return date: Unknown

Defender Axel Tuanzebe is still sidelined with a long-term unspecified problem, with no timeframe placed on his return, but he could supposedly leave the club before the month is up anyway.

Donny van de Beek

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Donny van de Beek suffered a serious knee injury in Man United's win over Bournemouth on January 3, and Ten Hag has now confirmed the worst, with the Dutch midfielder out for the remainder of the season.

Diogo Dalot

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: Unknown

Diogo Dalot was a casualty of Man United's EFL Cup quarter-final win over Charlton Athletic last week with a hamstring problem; the right-back was unable to take part against City and is not expected to recover in time for the trip to Selhurst Park either.
