Sports Mole rounds up all of Arsenal's injury and suspension news ahead of Wednesday's Premier League clash with Manchester United.
Sports Mole

On the hunt for a fourth straight win in all competitions, a reborn Arsenal host Ruben Amorim's Manchester United in Wednesday's Premier League blockbuster.

The Gunners' post-international break revival continued with a 5-2 beating of West Ham United on Saturday night, where five different scorers breached the Irons' net in the first half.

Arsenal's thumping of the Irons lifted Mikel Arteta's men into second place in the Premier League standings above Manchester City and Chelsea, but they are still nine points below Liverpool thanks to the Reds' triumph over Man City on Sunday.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Arsenal's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their clash with Man United, whom they did the double over in the 2023-24 season.

Gabriel Magalhaes

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Unspecified
Possible return date: December 4 (vs. Man United)

Gabriel Magalhaes had suffered a knock against Sporting Lisbon in the Champions League but was passed fit to start at West Ham, where he scored his obligatory goal from a corner. However, the Brazilian then had to come off at half time after his previous issue flared up, and his availability for Wednesday is up in the air.

Mikel Merino

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: December 4 (vs. Man United)

Mikel Merino was nowhere to be seen on the team sheet on Saturday evening, and Arsenal soon revealed that the Spaniard had picked up a knee problem, which also renders him doubtful for the visit of the Red Devils.

Thomas Partey

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Muscle
Possible return date: December 4 (vs. Man United)

Likewise, Thomas Partey was an unexpected absentee from the squad to face West Ham on account of a fresh muscular issue, and he will need further assessment before Wednesday's fixture.

Myles Lewis-Skelly

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Unspecified
Possible return date: December 4 (vs. Man United)

Myles Lewis-Skelly represented the third new absentee from the Arsenal squad before kickoff on Saturday evening, where Arteta confirmed that his absence was injury-related, although the exact nature and severity of the teenager's problem is not known.

Ben White

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Ben White had been playing through the pain of a knee injury for a while, and it was eventually decided that the right-back would have to undergo an operation, ruling him out for a matter of months.

Takehiro Tomiyasu

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Takehiro Tomiyasu has played just once this season due to a pair of knee injuries, and the Japan international is currently spending time away from Arsenal in the hope of "unlocking" a solution to his perpetual woes.

ARSENAL'S SUSPENSION LIST

Arsenal have no players banned for this match.
