Manchester United head coach Erik ten Hag has revealed that Rasmus Hojlund is available for Sunday's Premier League clash with Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
The Denmark international completed a move to the 20-time English champions from Atalanta BC last month but is yet to make his debut due to a troublesome back problem.
Hojlund has trained with his teammates this week, though, and Ten Hag said during his press conference on Friday that the summer arrival is fit to start against the Gunners in North London.
"Yes (he's available). So he had a good training week, so tomorrow we have final training but he's doing well, he's responded well. So he will be available for Sunday's game," said the head coach.
Meanwhile, when asked at a later point whether the 20-year-old would be able to start, Ten Hag said: "I think he can, he's ready to start."
The news is a huge boost for a Man United side that have won two of their three Premier League matches in the early stages of the 2023-24 campaign.
Ten Hag has also confirmed that new signing Altay Bayindir will be in the squad against Arsenal, with the Turkey international's move from Fenerbahce being confirmed on Friday morning.
"He will be in the squad as well, yeah, so happy, now we have to keep the group, again it's fully there, we've covered every position and we have a very good arrival in Altay," said the Dutchman.
"We followed him, scouted him very intense, he has the skills to fit in, fit in Manchester United and English football, really clear, we signed him. We are confident he will make a lot of progress in the coming years and he will be a huge contribution to our game."
Ten Hag has also confirmed that Sergio Reguilon's loan move from Tottenham Hotspur has been completed, with the defender already training alongside his new teammates.
The Spaniard is also in line to make the squad for the clash with Arsenal this weekend.
"He is here, he trained. He's very experienced player, played for big clubs, already played a lot of La Liga and Premier League games, he has a very good background, he can play very intense football, we are happy," Ten Hag said when asked about the on-loan defender.
"We had a problem with Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia injured, we responded well in that emergency situation."
Man United are also on the verge of securing a loan deal for Sofyan Amrabat from Fiorentina, with the Morocco international set to become the club's final signing of a busy deadline day. body check tags ::
