Manchester United centre-back Leny Yoro has posted a video of him running on a treadmill, as the teenager continues to make important steps forward in his recovery from a serious foot injury.

Real Madrid were widely expected to sign Yoro over the summer, but Man United moved to the head of the queue for his signature and were able to bring him in from Lille on a contract until 2029.

The 18-year-old made a huge impression on his non-competitive debut for the club against Rangers, and he then travelled with the Red Devils squad to the United States on their pre-season tour.

Yoro suffered a fractured metatarsal against Arsenal towards the end of July, though, and he has been on the sidelines since, with the defender yet to make his competitive debut for Man United.

However, Red Devils head coach Erik ten Hag recently said that Yoro "is doing very well", with his return to action expected to come before the end of the year.

Yoro could return in early December against Arsenal

"Yes, he is doing very well," the manager told MUTV. "It is very pleasing that his rehab is going in the right direction and I expect him soon, but what I mean by soon, is that he is now in the right planning process.

"He is in the right spot and he will return as soon as possible into the squad and then the team training."

Yoro posted a video on Instagram on Wednesday showing him running on a treadmill with the captain: "On the way back".

The Premier League clash with Arsenal on December 3 has allegedly been earmarked as a potential return date for Yoro, with the Frenchman on course to debut for the Red Devils before the end of the year.

Which other Man United players are currently on the sidelines?

Man United had a number of fitness problems last season, and the injuries are just starting to pile up again, which is worrying for the Red Devils ahead of a busy run of matches after the international break.

Harry Maguire will be missing for a number of weeks due to the muscular issue that he suffered against Aston Villa, while Noussair Mazraoui faces a battle to be back before the end of the year, having undergone a minor heart procedure.

Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia remain unavailable for selection, while Mason Mount was missing before the international break due to a head injury and knock that he suffered against Tottenham Hotspur.

Alejandro Garnacho, Kobbie Mainoo and Amad Diallo have all withdrawn from their national teams, meanwhile, but the trio are expected to be available for selection against Brentford on October 19.
