New Manchester United signing Daley Blind has said that it is an "honour" to join the club.
Blind's move to Old Trafford was confirmed earlier this evening, with the Dutch international joining the Red Devils for £14m.
The 24-year-old was named the Dutch Player of the Year last season and is able to play as a wing-back or a central midfielder.
"It is a real honour to sign for Manchester United," Blind told the club's official website.
"I have been at Ajax since I was seven years old and I will always have very fond memories of the club and of my time there.
"Louis van Gaal is a tremendously talented coach, I have worked with him at Ajax and also for the Netherlands national team and I cannot wait to work with him at the biggest club in the world."
Blind becomes United's sixth signing of the summer following the arrivals of Luke Shaw, Ander Herrera, Marcos Rojo, Angel di Maria and Vanja Milinkovic.
Louis van Gaal is expected to complete one more deal before the 11pm transfer deadline, with Radamel Falcao on the verge of a season-long loan move.
