Former Manchester United stopper Mark Bosnich has admitted that he believes Sir Alex Ferguson must decide who is his number one goalkeeper.
Ferguson has seemingly yet to decide on his preferred choice, with summer signing David de Gea currently alternating with Denmark international Anders Lindegaard between the posts.
Bosnich, however, has reiterated the importance of a regular choice in the club's search for trophies this season.
"He needs to make a decision and stick with one, you couldn't really fault Lindegaard against Newcastle but that misunderstanding with Phil Jones was because they haven't played together, week in and week out," Bosnich told talkSPORT.
"He's got to decide who he's going to stick with, whether it's De Gea or Lindegaard, regardless of how much money he's spent on De Gea if Man United are going to win any trophies."
Manchester United travel to Manchester City in the FA Cup on Sunday afternoon.
