Manchester United boss David Moyes has suggested that Michael Carrick could miss Tuesday's pre-season clash against Yokohama F-Marinos in Japan with a groin injury.
However, the Scot revealed that Alexander Buttner and Jonny Evans should be fit to return for United's third match of the pre-season.
"Michael Carrick has a tight groin. I expect Jonny Evans to be okay and Alex Büttner to be okay. On the main, we're very close to full strength," Moyes told reporters at a press conference.
"The three lads [who joined the squad today] probably won't start this game but they'll definitely be involved. Certainly [Ashley] Young and [Chris] Smalling have been training very hard before flying out here.
"Shinji [Kagawa] has mainly been on holiday but he has trained for a few days. We'll get them involved this week."
United were 5-1 winners over the A-League All Stars on Saturday.
