Manchester United winger Angel di Maria has expressed his delight after finding the net on his home debut against Queens Park Rangers.
The British-record signing from Real Madrid opened the scoring at Old Trafford on Sunday before going on to star in the team's comfortable 4-0 victory in the Premier League.
Having received numerous plaudits for his performance against QPR, Di Maria admits that he is very happy following such a positive home bow.
"I wished very much for the day of my debut at Old Trafford and I did in the best way, scoring a goal," the 26-year-old told Fox Sports Radio Del Plata. "The happiness is enormous."
United continue their Premier League campaign this Sunday when they face Leicester City at the King Power Stadium.
