Borussia Dortmund chief executive Hans-Joachim Watzke has revealed that the Bundesliga outfit are ready to open contract talks with Ilkay Gundogan.
The 24-year-old midfielder is thought to have attracted interest from several Premier League clubs, including Arsenal and Manchester United.
Gundogan's current deal is set to expire in 2016, and Dortmund are keen to extend his stay beyond that.
"Michael Zorc [Dortmund's sporting director] will certainly look into a potential renewal for Gundogan in the next few weeks," Sport Bild quotes Watzke as saying.
Gundogan joined Dortmund from Nuremberg in 2011.
