Alex Ferguson has said that he plans to dissect Manchester United's "disappointing year".
The Red Devils have already crashed out of the Champions League, and yesterday they suffered a Europa League exit at the hands of Athletic Bilbao.
A 2-1 defeat in Spain meant that United slumped to a 5-3 aggregate loss.
"We try to analyse this season against other seasons, it's a bit difficult," Ferguson said.
"I think that there is a route in terms of some of the goals we have lost in these tournaments. They have been pretty poor, so it's something we need to analyse.
"It has been a disappointing year."
Despite their European campaign falling short, United currently lead the Premier League with 67 points from 28 games.
