Southampton attacker Nathan Redmond has claimed that Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford is one of the best players that he has ever seen in the England Under-21s.
Rashford scored a hat-trick on his England Under-21s debut last week, adding to the goals that he managed on his Europa League, Premier League and full England debuts.
Redmond, who is one of the more experienced players in Gareth Southgate's side, has paid tribute to the 18-year-old's "direct pace" and ability to carry possession in the final third of the field.
"He's different to Saido Berahino, Harry Kane and Danny Ings," Redmond told the FA's official website. "They all have different qualities and pose different threats at that level.
"But Marcus's direct pace and how he's quite unorthodox with the ball, along with his finishing, is up there with some of the best that I've seen at Under-21 level. They're all top class strikers though."
Rashford has scored nine times in 21 appearances for Man United since making his debut last season.
