Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney has praised Bastian Schweinsteiger for choosing to join the club.
The Germany international midfielder moved to Old Trafford from Bayern Munich at the start of the week on a three-year deal.
With United currently on their pre-season tour of the USA, Rooney is confident that the 30-year-old will be a success for the Red Devils.
"Bastian is a very experienced player who has won everything in the game and it's great that he has chosen to join us and left a team like Bayern Munich to come here," he told MUTV.
"Bastian speaks very good English so that's a boost for the squad, too. He's a fantastic player, he's shown that over the years and it's great that we've got him and I'm sure he'll be a good player for us."
United are in pre-season action on Friday against Mexican side Club America in Seattle.
