Newly-appointed Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag suggests that he is motivated to end the dominance of Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola.
Since 2017, the Premier League title has either been won by Guardiola's Manchester City outfit, the latest coming at the weekend, and Klopp's Liverpool side.
Having been brought in by United, Ten Hag's initial target will be to take the club back into the Champions League, but the Dutchman has hinted that he has far higher aims ahead of beginning work at Old Trafford.
Speaking to reporters at a press conference, Ten Hag said: "In this moment I admire them both. They play fantastic football but you will always see an era can come to an end.
"I look forward to a battle with them and I'm sure other clubs will want to do that."
Ten Hag made the decision to meet with the media after attending United's final top-flight fixture of the season on Sunday, which ended in a 1-0 defeat to Crystal Palace.
