Manchester United will face stiff competition to sign Brazilian defender Dede from Bayern Munich and Anzhi Makhachkala.
The 23-year-old, who is rated as one the best young defenders in South America, had been targeted by Sir Alex Ferguson as an option to bolster his injury-hit defence, with continual doubts over the fitness of Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic.
Liverpool had also been credited with an interest and the Premier League pair have now been joined in the race by the Bundesliga giants and the mega-rich Russian club, according to talkSPORT.
Dede was named in Brazil's provisional squad for the Olympic Games.
