Experienced midfielder Casemiro could leave Manchester United in January to complete a big-money move to Saudi Arabia, according to a report.

Manchester United midfielder Casemiro has reportedly received 'an important offer from Saudi Arabia', and he is now seriously considering leaving Old Trafford during the January transfer window.

The Brazil captain made the move to the 20-time English champions from Real Madrid in 2022, and he starred for the club last season, helping them to win the EFL Cup and finish third in the Premier League.

Casemiro has been restricted to just 12 appearances this season, though, due to injury problems.

The 31-year-old has not represented the Red Devils since the EFL Cup clash with Newcastle United at the start of November, while his last Premier League appearance was against Brentford on October 7.

The experienced midfielder has a contract in Manchester until June 2026, with the option of a further 12 months, but there is currently widespread speculation surrounding his future.

Man United are said to be open for offers for Casemiro, who has found the back of the net on four occasions for the club this season, in addition to registering an assist.

Meanwhile, the player is said to be open to a new challenge at this stage of his career, with a number of Saudi Arabian clubs said to have been carefully monitoring his situation.

According to Marca, the experienced midfielder has now received an 'important offer' from the Saudi Pro League, and he is seriously considering leaving in January.

The report claims that 'a lot of money' has been placed on the table, with Man United able to bank a fairly substantial transfer fee for Casemiro due to the length of time left on his deal, and the fact that he remains one of the leading names in world football when it comes to midfielders.

Casemiro will again be missing when Man United head to West Ham United in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon, and there is a chance that he has played his last game for the club.

The midfielder has recently been back in first-team training, though, and he might be needed over the festive period due to Man United's injury problems.

Donny van de Beek is also on the verge of leaving, with the Netherlands international believed to have now completed his medical with Eintracht Frankfurt.

Jadon Sancho is also set to leave in January, while the club are open to offers for Anthony Martial, but Raphael Varane is not expected to leave despite the recent speculation.

Departures for both Casemiro and Van de Beek would likely lead to Man United bringing in a central midfielder in January, with Everton's Amadou Onana believed to be of interest to the club. body check tags ::
