Mauro Icardi has agreed to leave Inter Milan's training camp in Switzerland by mutual consent and will not take part in their pre-season tour.
The 26-year-old is expected to depart San Siro this summer after a turbulent 2018-19 campaign that saw him stripped of the captaincy.
Icardi travelled with his teammates for the start of their pre-season tour, but it has now been confirmed that he does not feature in new boss Antonio Conte's plans.
A club statement on Saturday evening read: "Icardi will return to Milan from the Lugano training camp today. The club and the Argentine striker have made this decision by mutual agreement.
"Icardi will continue on his path of athletic reconditioning in the coming days but will not take part in the summer tour in Asia."
Juventus have been linked with the Argentinian striker, while Manchester United and Napoli have also been touted as other possible destinations.
Inter are keen to bring in Romelu Lukaku from Man United, meanwhile, but they have been unable to agree a fee with the Red Devils.
