Manchester United defender Victor Lindelof is reportedly attracting interest from Serie A giants Juventus.
The 29-year-old's long-term future at Old Trafford is believed to be uncertain, with his current contract due to expire in June 2024.
Lindelof featured 35 times for Man United across all competitions last season, but he is not considered a first-choice centre-back under manager Erik ten Hag, as both Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane are higher in the pecking order, while Harry Maguire and Jonny Evans are considered fourth and fifth-choice options.
Both Martinez and Varane have suffered with injuries in the early stages of this season, allowing Lindelof to make eight appearances in all tournaments including four successive Premier League starts in the last four matches.
The Sweden international, who has spent the last six years at Man United, is set for more regular first-team football now that Martinez is facing an extended period on the sidelines, but speculation continues to swirl regarding his future with the Red Devils.
According to Fichajes, Lindelof intends to continue playing at the highest level, but he is 'contemplating his future' at Man United.
The report adds that Juventus have identified Lindelof as a possible target, with manager Massimiliano Allegri an admirer of the Swede's 'experience and defensive solidity'.
Lindelof would be free to negotiate a pre-contract agreement with foreign clubs including Juve in January if he decides against extending his Man United contract beyond next summer.
Juve are said to be in the market for a new centre-back after parting ways with veteran Italian Leonardo Bonucci in the summer.
Danilo and Alex Sandro have both been converted into central defenders by Allegri, who also has Bremer, Federico Gatti and Daniele Rugani at his disposal.
Man United could give the green light for Lindelof to seek pastures new in 2024, as the Red Devils are allegedly looking to strengthen their options in defence within the next two transfer windows.
A recent report claims that Ten Hag's side are considering a January swoop for Sporting Lisbon and Portugal international Goncalo Inacio, who is understood to possess a €60m (£52m) release clause in his contract.
Man United have also been credited with an interest in Benfica centre-back Antonio Silva and have allegedly scouted the 19-year-old on several occasions in recent months.
The likes of Everton's Jarrad Branthwaite, Nice's Jean-Clair Todibo and Bayer Leverkusen's Edmond Tapsoba have also been linked with a move to Old Trafford. body check tags ::
