Manchester United and Chelsea would reportedly both be prepared to meet Napoli's asking price for Victor Osimhen during this summer's transfer window.

The 24-year-old made the move to Napoli from Lille in 2020, and he has featured on 82 occasions for the Italian giants, scoring 43 goals and contributing 13 assists in the process.

Osimhen has been in excellent form this season, meanwhile, scoring 15 goals and registering four assists in 20 appearances, with 14 of those strikes coming in Italy's top flight.

Napoli are currently 13 points clear of second-placed Inter Milan at the top of the Serie A table, while they are in the knockout round of the Champions League.

Osimhen's future continues to be called into question, with both Man United and Chelsea believed to be keen to bring him to the Premier League during the summer market.

According to journalist Emanuele Cammaroto, neither Premier League club are "afraid of the amount" that Napoli would demand for the Nigeria international this summer.

Cammaroto claims that the asking price is €120m (£107m), with the Italian giants open to selling for the right price this summer despite his importance to the side.

Man United are expected to be in the market for a big-money centre-forward this summer, having terminated Cristiano Ronaldo's contract towards the end of last year.

Anthony Martial has struggled with injury problems this season, meanwhile, which has strengthened the club's need to bring in another forward ahead of the 2023-24 campaign.

Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane continues to be linked with a switch to Old Trafford, but the England captain is thought to be open to signing a new deal in North London.

Chelsea, meanwhile, are expected to again be active in this summer's market despite spending heavily in January, with Enzo Fernandez and Mykhaylo Mudryk among those to arrive.

Joao Felix is only on loan at Stamford Bridge and is unlikely to join on a permanent basis this summer, while Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Armando Broja might also depart, which would open up space in the squad to bring in a centre-forward.

Osimhen started his professional career at Wolfsburg, but he failed to score in 16 appearances for the club before joining Lille, where he netted 18 times in 38 matches ahead of a switch to Napoli.

The Italian giants are in a strong position to demand a high transfer fee at the end of the season, with the Nigerian's contract in Naples due to run until the summer of 2025. body check tags ::
