Manchester United 'handed boost in Jules Kounde pursuit'

:Headline: Manchester United 'handed boost in Jules Kounde pursuit':
A report claims that Sevilla have lowered their asking price for Manchester United target Jules Kounde from £70m to £50m ahead of the summer transfer window.

Manchester United have reportedly learned that they can sign Sevilla defender Jules Kounde for £20m cheaper than anticipated.

Kounde is one of a number of centre-backs to have been linked with United over the past year as they continue seek a long-term partner for Harry Maguire.

The Red Devils were tipped to make a £70m bid for the France Under-21s international last summer, but nothing came of their interest.

The Sun reports that United may be back in for Kounde in the next window, however, and they could land the 22-year-old for a cut-price £50m.

It is claimed that Sevilla have substantially lowered their asking price for the former Bordeaux man, despite the fact that he is under contract until 2024.

Manchester City were also keen on Kounde last year before moving for Ruben Dias, while Real Madrid are supposedly eyeing him up as a replacement for Sergio Ramos.
