Manchester United have opened talks with Valencia to sign midfielder Carlos Soler, according to reports.
The 20-year-old has been a regular in La Liga for almost two years after coming through the Spanish club's ranks.
In addition to his impressive displays for Los Che, Soler has also caught the eye for his performances with the Spain Under-21 side.
According to the Daily Mail, United have begun discussions with cash-strapped Valencia over a £30m move, despite the player boasting a £75m release clause.
The report goes on to claim that Jose Mourinho sees Soler as a perfect foil for Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic in a midfield three and is hoping to have the deal wrapped up soon for next summer.
Marouane Fellaini, Ander Herrera and Michael Carrick are all out of contract in the summer.
