Manchester United reportedly have a 'genuine' interest in Leeds United midfielder Tyler Adams.
The 23-year-old made the move to the Whites from RB Leipzig in July, and he has been in impressive form for the English club this season, making 13 appearances in all competitions.
Adams captained the USA at the 2022 World Cup, meanwhile, playing every minute of their campaign, which saw them reach the round of 16 before losing to the Netherlands.
According to TEAMtalk, Man United have been impressed by Adams and are interested in securing his signature at some stage in the future.
The report, though, claims that Leeds have informed the 20-time English champions that there is no chance of him being allowed to leave during the January transfer window.
Adams's performances this season have allegedly 'caught the eye' of Red Devils boss Erik ten Hag.
Midfield is not currently seen as a priority position for the club, but Fred could potentially be allowed to leave next summer, and Ten Hag is still thought to be keen to boost his options in that area of the field.
"I know Leeds fans have been worried about the future of Tyler Adams and that he could be sold in January, but that's most certainly not in the plans of the club's hierarchy," transfer expert Graeme Bailey told TEAMtalk.
"Adams has become a key part of Jesse Marsch's squad since arriving in the summer. And despite his outstanding showing at the World Cup finals, he won't be going.
"The player is also very happy at Elland Road and from what I am told he is determined to prove himself in the Premier League with Leeds."
Adams started his professional career with New York Red Bulls, making 74 appearances for the MLS outfit before arriving at RB Leipzig in 2019.
The American featured on 103 occasions for the German side, contributing two goals and four assists in the process, but he is still waiting to register his first goal or assist for Leeds.
Man United could potentially sign two new players during the January transfer window, with a new right-back set to arrive if Aaron Wan-Bissaka, as expected, moves on.
Ten Hag has also confirmed that the club will be looking to sign a new centre-forward in the winter market, having terminated Cristiano Ronaldo's contract at the end of November. body check tags ::
